Electronic / PCB Testing

VICMAR's assembly and test services are designed to ensure maximum consistency and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. Our services range from design assistance to complete box builds, and are available for prototyping to full production runs. VICMAR also offers in-circuit and functional testing services.

VICMAR is proud to offer in-house test capabilities. Based on your test requirements, two types of testing are available, in-circuit test and functional test. In-circuit testing evaluates manufacturing and components defects on a PCB, checking for shorts, opens and component values. Functional testing verifies product performance as designed for actual use. Both tests require test fixtures that can either be supplied by the client, or designed by VICMAR.

In-Circuit Testing
In-Circuit testing requires the development of the test fixture and a test program specifically designed for an individual PCB. Unless both a fixture and program have already been developed, and are supplied in a format acceptable to our test equipment, a test quote assumes this is a new venture and is quoted accordingly. In order to provide an accurate test quote, the following is needed:

  • Bill of Materials
  • Assembly Drawings
  • Fabrication Drawings
  • Schematic Diagram
  • Net List or Node Count
  • Test Specifications and Test Time (if known)
  • A sample, populated PCB

Functional Testing
The functional test is a "real world" type of testing of a PCB. A functional test requires a test fixture to be created. This fixture may be supplied by the client or procured on the client's behalf by VICMAR. The following information assumes a test fixture to be supplied by the client:

  • Bill of Material
  • Assembly Drawings
  • Fabrication Drawings
  • Schematic Diagram
  • Test Specifications
  • Test Procedures
  • Test Time (if known)
